Manage your subscription and trial

Understand trial countdowns, payment method prompts, Stripe billing, App Store subscriptions, and cancellation.

Manage your subscription and trial

CalBudget shows trial and billing status inside the app so you know when action is needed.

Trial countdown

Trial users see how many days are left. If no payment method is on file, CalBudget highlights the profile menu and Billing settings.

Website billing

Website subscriptions are managed through Stripe. Open Settings, then Billing, then Manage subscription.

App Store billing

If you subscribed through the App Store, manage that subscription in Apple's subscription settings.

When access ends

When a trial ends or payment fails, CalBudget may require payment before the calendar is available again.

Trial status

Trial users see a countdown so there is no surprise when access changes. If a payment method is missing, CalBudget highlights the billing path because the account needs a valid payment method before the trial ends.

Add or manage payment

  1. Open the profile menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open Billing.
  4. Add a payment method or manage the current subscription.
  5. Return to the calendar and confirm the banner or warning is resolved.

Website versus App Store billing

Website billing is managed through Stripe. App Store billing is managed through Apple. Use the billing path where you originally subscribed.

When access is locked

If the trial ends or a payment cannot be collected, CalBudget may require an active subscription before the calendar opens. This protects paid access while still keeping account data connected to the user record.

Billing checklist

  • Trial users can see the remaining days.
  • A payment method is added before the trial ends if access should continue.
  • Website subscribers use Stripe billing.
  • App Store subscribers use Apple subscription settings.
  • Locked users choose a plan or fix payment before returning to the calendar.

If billing status looks wrong

Refresh the page first. If you subscribed through the App Store, restore purchases in the iOS app. If you subscribed on the website, open Billing from Settings and manage the Stripe subscription there.
